We are presently limited as to what types of manufacturers we are able
to fully service. On rare occasions we do take in decks of other brands
than listed above due to our ever growing replacement part stock.
Please email or call us with your deck's brand, model # and the deck's
problems you are experiencing and we will determine if we can handle
the repair/refurbish of your deck in our shop.
Our store's goal is to get to a place in the near future where we will be
able to offer repair and refurbish of ALL the open reel decks ever
manufactured by hunting out and stocking their replacement parts and
consumables.




With our Basic Restoration and Repair we fully dismantle the deck
and inspect all parts. Every Reel to Reel is throughly cleaned (inside
and out) and pinpoint lubed. All Capstan and Belts are adjusted or
replaced if there is more than 30% wear. We check and repair, if
needed, your deck's entire electronic and mechanical inner workings.
We have prepared a battery of photos so you can see the process your
deck goes through, once it comes into our store for service.

We have also had our web people compose a Powerpoint Slide
Presentation for you to download to get a virtual tour of our facilities
and the kind of work our store's shop is tooled to perform. If you do not

SERVICE PROCEDURE:
Once we get your unit in we will do a complete inspection within 48
hours (weekdays). We will contact you by email as to what we have
found and what it will take to rectify any found problem(s).
We pride ourselves on doing our best to get your equipment fully
restored and back in your hands in less than two weeks. Some
equipment may take longer due to the rarity of your deck and finding
replacement parts if we indeed do not have your part in our extensive
part inventory. Not having your part in stock is very rare.
We have found that 95% of the time our standard refurb makes the
deck run and look like brand new. We have to replace a belt on a
TEAC deck at most one out of 3 units serviced. The most common
cause of drag, slow speed, noise or slow track output is remedied with
two adjustments (PINCH ROLLER, and BRAKES) HEAD CLEANING,
DEMAG and ALIGNMENT.
Pricing varies from deck to deck according to the manufacture and
man hours it takes for complete dismantling and restoration..
We are very meticulous and your satisfaction is our stores future.. Your
unit has to be perfect for us to let it go. All work is WARRANTED for a
full 365 days.
Once your deck is completed we will send you an invoice to pay via.
email. This email will contain a direct link to our store's customer
account to make your payment very easy. Your invoice will be for the
agreed repairs and the exact return shipping in our box with foam
inserts, and your unit shrink wrapped inside, snug as a bug.

SHIPPING PROCEDURE: getting your reel to reel to us safely
We ask that you please pack as carefully as possible, using the
sturdiest box you can get. Double boxed is best. We ask that you
please review our photos of properly packed decks and how to protect
the components that are most commonly broken in shipment.
We only accept units that are shipped to us via Fed Ex Ground. Why?
Fed Ex Ground is sometimes as much as half the cost of UPS, saving
you, the customer, money. More importantly we have found, over the
years, that Fed Ex handles heavy packages with 10 times more care
than UPS.
Fed Ex automatically insures items up to $100.00. If you feel your deck
is of more value, it is very inexpensive to purchase the additional
insurance. Insurance is required on the return shipping. We will not be
held responsible for any breakage incurred during shipping.
We prefer to do what is called a "Call Tag" with Fed Ex for your
packaged deck. What this means is we just need you to pack your
deck as carefully as you can as described above and then contact us
by phone or email that your deck is ready for pick-up at your home or
office.
Inform us of the exact address your boxed deck will be on the next
business day, along with a phone number that Fed Ex can call if they
are unable to pick-up that day. We will then contact Fed Ex to issue a
call tag for your deck to be sent to our store. Using this shipping
procedure not only relieves you from loading your boxed deck into the
car, finding a Fed Ex service center, waiting in line and paying for the
shipping up front in cash. This procedure also assures us that the
correct shipping address has been placed on the box, with the
appropriate insurance to cover the deck in the event there is any
shipping damage.
The shipping charges will be our commercial rate Fed Ex charges us
to keep all cost as low as possible. The average shipping cost ranges
from $29.00 to $49.00 each way. Our customers are charged actual
shipping cost.
